Firas AL MAHMOUD is full professor. He holds a Ph.D. in strengthening reinforced concrete structures from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Toulouse, France. Accreditation to supervise research (HDR) (2016). Prof. Firas AL MAHMOUD currently works at Lorraine University in France as a structural engineering educator. He teaches at several engineering schools. He was the Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Lorraine University from the 2017 � 2020 academic year. Dr. F. M. Özkal is an accomplished civil engineer with extensive experience in structural engineering, particularly in reinforced concrete structures. He completed his doctorate at Atatürk University in Turkey (2006-2012), where his research focused on topology optimization and reinforcement layout in reinforced concrete structural elements. He holds both a postgraduate (2004-2006) and undergraduate degree (2000-2004) in civil engineering from the same university. Currently an Assistant Professor at Erzincan Binali Yildirim University, he has been part of the Civil Engineering Department since 2013. Dr. Michael Sing is an Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, specializing in big data analytics in construction management and urban studies. He is a chartered building surveyor and project manager by profession. Michael has published over 75 peer-reviewed papers on project resilience, construction management, and urban policy, with over 3,500 citations and an h-index of 49. He has secured more than HK$10 million in research funding for projects focusing on machine learning algorithms, digital information sharing, and risk estimation in mega projects.

Xin jiao is the Director of the Intelligent Construction Research Institute at China Construction Third Engineering Bureau (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. His research focuses on intelligent construction technologies, such as UAV-based safety inspections for tower cranes and robotic systems for exterior wall polishing. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil/Structural Engineering from Florida International University in 2015 and has since contributed to multiple innovative projects in smart construction and construction digitization. Xin jiao has led key projects, including intelligent materials management platforms and waterproofing systems. He has published extensively and holds patents related to intelligent construction systems and robotics. Dr. Tadashi Hara, born on September 11, 1974, is a Professor and Vice Director of the Disaster Prevention Division at Kochi University, specializing in geotechnical engineering. He earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Engineering from Chuo University. Dr. Hara's career includes roles at NEWJEC Co., Ltd., Chuo University, and the Japanese Geotechnical Society, where he now serves as a Director. His research focuses on earthquake-resistant structures, gabion technology, and reservoir reinforcement, and he has authored 154 papers and 15 technical books. He manages JICA projects, particularly in Nepal, to develop disaster-resistant infrastructure. Doctor of Sciences (Engineering), Professor, Academician Mikayel G. Melkumyan (born on June 10, 1951) started his scientific and practical activity in 1973, immediately after graduation from the Civil Engineering Department of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, carrying out both design and experimental-theoretical research works to study the behavior of various reinforced concrete structures under seismic actions. In 1983 he lead the Department of Earthquake Resistant Construction at the Armenian Scientific-Research Institute of Construction and Architecture. After the Spitak earthquake of December 7, 1988 in Armenia, M.G. Melkumyan dedicated himself to the deep analysis of consequences of this and other earthquakes and reasons for extensive destructions of various buildings and structures and, particularly, of frame-panel buildings. His research at the Institute of Industrial Science the University of Tokyo resulted in the Melkumyan Hysteresis Model, enhancing the understanding of shear behavior in structures. During a short period of time in 1995-1996, devoting himself to the challenge of increasing the earthquake resistance of existing buildings, he developed two unique methods of protecting existing buildings from earthquakes through base isolation, as well as by isolated upper floor and upper slab (roof isolation) without interruption of the use of the buildings. His patented technologies have been implemented in seismic isolation design for construction of new and retrofitting of existing buildings in Armenia, Russia, Romania, Peru, Kazakhstan, and Turkey. During several years starting from 2003 he was developing and implementing a new original approach in applying clusters of small size rubber bearings in isolation systems of seismic isolated buildings. These works are unprecedented in the world practice of earthquake resistant construction of the time. Melkumyan has authored 260 scientific works, including 21 books (6 monographs), 11 normative documents, codes, and standards, and 12 inventions. He is the president of the Armenian Association for Earthquake Engineering, CEO of the “Melkumyan Seismic Technologies” LLC, and has served on various international committees and editorial boards. His efforts have significantly advanced seismic engineering, positioning Armenia among the leaders in this vital field.

Dr. Mahdi Hosseini, born in 1988, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Building Engineering at Nanjing Forestry University. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Azad University, Iran, and completed his M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India, both with distinction. After completing his postdoctoral research at Nanjing Forestry University in 2023, he continued his academic career there. Roberto Stark, FACI, is the President of Stark + Ortiz, S.C., a consulting firm based in Mexico City, which provides structural design services for urban and infrastructure projects throughout Mexico, Peru, Panama, Spain, Colombia, Guatemala, Qatar, Aruba, USA and Bahamas. Dr Pilar Maria Guerrieri holds a PhD with honours in �Architectural Composition, History and Theory� from Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage in Delhi and Westminster University in London. She is an Architectural Historian, particularly interested in re-reading pregnant contemporary issues from a historical perspective to give them a new light and a wider understanding. She has been extensively studying the development of megacities and the effects of cultural exchanges, exploring the meaning of terms such as �tradition�, �identity� and �heritage�, and she is now interested in the relationship between city, environment and human well-being.
